One of the things I like best about my mirrorless camera is how quickly and easily I can work on digitizing my slide library. I use a Nikon Z6 II, a Nikor Z 50mm f2.8 lens, a Nikon Film Digitizing Adapter ES-2, and a [pro] master LED B88B light panel.
For me, the ability to see the image and histogram before exposure is very beneficial. The effects of the exposure compensation button can be seen ahead of time. I use manual focus peaking to insure center and edge-to-edge sharp focus. The other huge benefit is I can use a shutter speed of about 1/6 of a second compared to minutes for high-res scans.
