February 2022 Hi Key/Low Key Competition

COMPETITION RESULTS

February’s competition was High Key/Low Key, for projected images only.  Lori Lankford was our judge.  Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the competition was held remotely over Zoom.

There were two categories judged: Advanced Projected (i.e. digital images) and Novice Projected. No Beginner Projected images were submitted.  The Print categories are suspended until we start in-person meetings again. Awards are given for first, second, and third place, and multiple honorable mentions (HM) – the number of awards depends on the total number of entries in the category.

Last summer in Sweden, I was driving on my own to get to visit my Mom who lives in a small city in the far North. I had plenty of time and no one else to care about. The weather was fantastic, and due to Covid there was hardly any traffic. So, I drew on the small scenic roads by the coast and stopped here and there just to enjoy the day by myself with my camera. This photo is from a tiny fishing village that seemed to have been unaffected by development and modernity. No people in sight, only old wooden houses, boats and fishing tools.
