The exhibition presents 25 portrait images Parks made between 1941 and 1970, speaking to larger stories of the civil rights movement, the African American experience and American culture.

In the Library: Life in the Impressionists’ Paris – Sept. 4, 2024 – Jan. 17, 2025
A selection of approximately 40 photographs and prints representing a period of social, cultural, industrial and political change in Paris.

The 70’s Lens: Reimagining Documentary Photography – Oct. 6, 2024 – April 6, 2025
Approximately 100 works by more than 80 artists examine how photographers reinvented documentary practice during this radical shift in American life. The questions these artists explored – about photography’s ethics, truth and power continue to be considered today.

“Through portraiture and biography, “Brilliant Exiles: American Women in Paris, 1900–1939” illuminates the accomplishments of sixty convention-defying women who crossed the Atlantic to pursue personal and professional aspirations in the vibrant cultural milieu of Paris. As foreigners in a cosmopolitan city, these “exiles” escaped the constraints that limited them at home.”
