Naomi Kawin joined SSCC in September 2016.  She was able to locate our club through the internet when searching for camera clubs near her home. 

Naomi has been interested in photography since childhood.  As a little girl, her father gave her an Olympus Pen half-frame camera capable of taking twice as many pictures on an ordinary roll of film.  Her father continued to stimulate her interest in photography when he gave her a Canon camera for her college graduation.  She then became a devoted Canon consumer. 

Naomi enjoys taking pictures of nature, family, and vacations.  She has lived in this area all of her life, but has traveled to places that gave her other photographic opportunities including California, Grand Tetons, and Yellowstone National Park.  She has also visited France, Israel, New Zealand, and Japan. 

Currently, Naomi is shooting with an iPhone.  She is interested in learning more about exposure, using natural light and other lighting. 

When asked if there was anything she would like to share with the SSCC membership, her response was, “I’m really enjoying the SSCC  camera club! Great meetings, friendly atmosphere, and lots to learn.”
