Silver Spring Camera Club Board Meeting

May 25, 2023

Board Members in Attendance: Catherine Honigsberg, Dennis Freeman, Lisa Auerbach, Marc Auerbach, Tanya Riseman, Norm Bernache, Bruce Schaeffer, Bob Catlett, Pete Morton, Larry Gold, Sherm Edwards, Phil Boyer, Frank Gallagher, Will Rabinovich, and Michael Koren

Committee Chair Reports:

Secretary: 

Treasurer: Bruce reported 80 members today versus 95 last year at this time with11 being new versus 15 at this time last year. Income to date is $3,965 and expenses are $3,955 with an operating income of $10. The bank balance is $6,480 as of May 25, 2023.

Vice President:  Photo Forum will pick up in July and August. 

Dennis has sent out the Year End Award scripts for updating.

Cable Release: June 24 is the deadline for July issue

Field Trips: Phil is planning a July location

Competition:  The new topics for next year will be Macro/Closeup, ICM – Intentional Camera Movement, and Industrial.

Bruce will talk to the Church about renting space for meeting in person next year.

Wendy Kates brought up the opportunity for an exhibit in Columbia at the Interfaith Center.  It is $100 registration to include 40-55 pieces, wire hung, we drop them off. They would take a 25% commission and provide an opening.

Phil volunteered to drive the pieces there.
