We are very pleased to welcome Steve Rosenbach as our November speaker.  Steve will be sharing his love of architecture and cityscape photography, which is also our themed competition subject for January, 2020.

In Steve’s words, “Cityscape photography is a bit like landscape photography, but with tall and short buildings instead of trees and shrubs and skyscrapers instead of mountains”. 

However, it is not only about “city landscapes,” but also about capturing the life of a city or town. In short, Cityscape Photography is about capturing the images and stories of the urban environment.”

In his presentation, Steve will talk about the equipment you need, how to find great locations, what to look for, and when to photograph. 

Steve became a photographer just days after graduating from high school at the start of the Summer of Love, 1967. The Love part passed him by that summer, but he was hooked for life on his love of photography a few weeks later when he first saw one of his images slowly appear under the safe light of his friend’s darkroom.

After many years of photographing with black & white and slide film, he crossed over to the Dark Side in 2002, and has been shooting digital ever since.

Since 2009, he has been designing and conducting photo safaris and workshops in Annapolis, Baltimore, Philadelphia, and his favorite city, New York.

Steve has taught photography at Anne Arundel Community College and now teaches individuals and small groups privately.
