It is a small stone building directly behind the Thomas Isaac Log Cabin. (Google Maps mislabeled another building as the Heritage Orientation Center – disregard this). Directions from Washington D.C. & Points South:
Take I-95 N to MD-100 W to Rte-29 N, stay in right lane and take Rte 40 East. At first light, make a right onto Rogers Ave. After the county office complex take a right onto Ellicott Mills Dr. Look for Lot F signs for parking near meeting place, Heritage Orientation Center, Corner of Main Street and Ellicott Mills Drive, Ellicott City, MD 21043

Meet at the northeast corner of the parking lot of Hillandale Shopping Center:
From New Hampshire Blvd (650), take Powder Mill Rd. to the first entrance on the right and into the lot, then an immediate left and park at the top of the lot, (catty-corner from Unique Thrift Store and opposite from Domino’s):

Join the Silver Spring Camera Club for a photo walk in historic Ellicott City. Plenty of old buildings of interest and little unusual shops, including antiques. Since the terrible flood of 2016, much of the town has been rebuilt, but there may still be some signs of the damage.

Ellicott City Historic District is a national historic district in Ellicott City, Maryland. The Ellicott City Station is a National Historic Landmark located within the district. The district encompasses a predominantly 19th century mill town whose origins date to 1772, including more than 200 eighteenth- and nineteenth-century buildings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. The 2016 Maryland flood severely impacted the historic district on July 30, 2016.
It includes the Saint Paul Catholic Church, a handsome church that happens to be where Babe Ruth got married.
The Ellicott City Station is the oldest remaining passenger train station in the United States, and one of the oldest in the world. At the time of its construction in 1830 it was the terminus of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad line from Baltimore to Ellicott’s Mills, Maryland and it incorporated features for the servicing of steam locomotives at the end of the 13 mile run. The station, a National Historic Landmark, is now used as a museum [now free admission].
