Overview:

Join the Silver Spring Camera Club for an interesting visit to a local aviation museum, and the oldest continuously operating airport in the world. We’ve arranged a group tour, see details below. Should be lots of photo ops of historic airplanes.  See museum website for location and other details:  About-the-Museum

Museum visitors will travel through time, from the early years of the Wright Brothers’ airplanes through present-day, and experience how and why airplanes have changed. They will enjoy a hands-on experience of becoming a pilot, and see how flight gear changed as airplanes improved.

On the tour, visitors will also have a chance to fly our imagination plane and learn how flying controls have changed through the years. Weather permitting, they will also get to venture outside to see up close how the oldest continuously operating airport in the world operates today.

Historic Venue

The museum is a 27,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility located on the grounds of the world’s oldest continuously operating airport in College Park, Maryland. The airport was founded in 1909 when Wilbur Wright came here to give flight instruction to the first military aviators.

Exhibits

Visitors to the museum step into an open 1 1/2 story exhibit space, which highlights the display of unique aircraft and artifacts and tells the story of the airport’s many firsts in flight to today.

The museum gallery contains historic and reproduction aircraft associated with the history of the airfield, as well as hands-on activities and interpretive areas.

Lunch:

After the museum we can go out to lunch at the famous The Original Ledo Restaurant to discuss what we saw or the latest news.

I was curious if you ever considered changing the layout of your site? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?
