With the 2016/2017 Silver Spring Camera Club season upon us, we are excited to welcome all of our members back. We hope that everyone had a wonderful summer filled with memories and photos to share. We can’t wait to see those money shots.
We also have a couple of new members who joined over summer. Our goal is to introduce our new members monthly.
Lauren Maza joined SSCC over the summer. We look forward to meeting and welcoming Lauren in person.
Another newcomer is Lenore Boulet. A former member of SSCC, Lenore is returning with a mission. She brings with her the love of animals and desire to give back to the photography community. Her passion for animals got her seriously interested in learning photography and improving her skills.
After leaving her computer day job, she decided to fill her life with what she loves: animals, music and photography. She responded to an ad seeking someone to take photos of adoptable animals. She liked the idea of being able to help animals find a loving home. She loves capturing their personalities through photography. Lenore has been a volunteer at the Washington Animal Rescue Center for 4 years.
She also loves to photograph nature in macro. Lenore, a pianist, has also been shooting other musicians as they perform. They are a form of inspiration to her. Lenore describes her level of photography as “always learning”. We hope Lenore will grow with us and help our group as she has helped so many others.
We would also like to thank David and Stephanie Banks for being the first members to rejoin for the upcoming season.
We hope to see all of you on September 1 at our new location!
