We are very pleased to welcome back Aubrey Gemignani, who will have the distinct honor of being our first speaker to hold a live presentation using remote technology.
Aubrey is a full time photographer and photo archivist at NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) in Washington DC, where she has photographed a diverse range of events at the White House, the Vice President’s residence, Capitol Hill, the Kennedy Space Center, Wallops Flight Facility and the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan (to cover manned launches to the International Space Station). She is also a Documentary, Reportage and Event photographer.
Aubrey’s documentary and reportage work has been distributed worldwide through news and photo agencies such as the Associated Press, AFP, Reuters, National Geographic, Online and Getty Images. Her work has also been featured in publications such as Esquire, The Washington Post, Photographer’s Forum, Popular Photography, Pastry Art and Design and the Falls Church News Press.
Her impressive list of clients includes NASA, the Department of Homeland Security, Cue Recording Studio, Sodexo, South Asian Americans Leading Together, Hope for a Healthier Humanity, International Relief and Development and The National Council of Asian Pacific Islander Physicians.
Aubrey’s love of travel has taken her to many countries including Vietnam, Cambodia, Pakistan, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Russia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Dubai and Italy.
Aubrey holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Photography from Virginia Commonwealth University. She also holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from George Washington University.
In April, Aubrey will share with us her fascinating work and amazing photographs from her work at NASA over the last several years.
